Welcome to My First Pets, a pet business directory that helps pet parents discover pet businesses and services across the United States. By accessing or using our website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use our website or services.

About My First Pets

My First Pets provides an online directory where users can discover pet businesses, including veterinarians, groomers, trainers, pet stores, boarding services, pet sitters, and other pet-related businesses. Businesses can create listings, claim existing listings, provide business information, and choose available paid listing options. My First Pets does not own, operate, or directly provide the services offered by businesses listed on the website.

User Accounts

Some features of My First Pets may require you to create an account. You agree to: Provide accurate and current information. Keep your account information updated. Keep your password and login details secure. Not create an account using false or misleading information. Not use another person's account without permission. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account. My First Pets may require email verification through a one-time password (OTP) before an account can be fully activated.

Adding a Business Listing

Business owners, employees, representatives, or authorized users may submit businesses to My First Pets. When submitting a business, you agree that the information provided, including the business name, address, phone number, website, description, categories, hours, and other details, is accurate to the best of your knowledge. My First Pets may review, edit, reject, update, or remove a listing if information appears inaccurate, misleading, duplicated, outdated, or otherwise violates these Terms. Submitting a business does not automatically mean that the business will receive a Verified Business badge.

Claiming a Business

If a business already has a listing on My First Pets, an authorized representative may request to claim it. Claim verification may require access to a business or domain-based email address associated with the website listed on the business profile. For example, if the business website is examplepetclinic.com, verification may require an email such as info@examplepetclinic.com. Verification of a business email does not automatically guarantee approval. My First Pets may manually review the claim and compare business information with publicly available or trusted sources before approving the claim. Providing false information or attempting to claim a business without authorization may result in rejection or suspension.

Verified Business Badge

A Verified Business badge indicates that My First Pets has completed its verification process for the business listing. The badge does not mean that My First Pets recommends, guarantees, endorses, or is affiliated with the business. A business may lose its verified status if information becomes inaccurate, ownership is disputed, or the business no longer meets our verification requirements.

Business Information

Business owners are responsible for keeping their listing information accurate and up to date. My First Pets may rely on information submitted by businesses and information available from public or third-party sources. We do not guarantee that every business listing will always be complete, accurate, or current. If you find incorrect or outdated information, you may contact us to request a correction.

Premium Listings

My First Pets may offer paid Premium listing options that provide additional visibility or features. Premium features may include enhanced business information, additional images, additional categories, services, priority placement, featured badges, and other features described on our Plans & Pricing page. Premium features and pricing may change from time to time. Any applicable price will be shown before payment is completed. Payment for a Premium listing does not guarantee leads, customers, sales, search rankings on Google, or any specific business results.

Payments, Cancellation and Refunds

Premium listings may be available through third-party payment providers. By purchasing a Premium listing, you agree to provide accurate payment information and authorize the applicable payment according to the selected plan. Unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase, Premium access is provided for the period selected by the customer. Refunds, cancellations, and payment-related requests will be handled according to the applicable refund or cancellation terms provided by My First Pets. My First Pets may suspend or downgrade a Premium listing if payment is unsuccessful, expired, refunded, disputed, or otherwise reversed.

Reviews and Ratings

My First Pets may allow users to submit reviews and ratings for listed businesses. Reviews must represent genuine experiences and must not contain false information, threats, harassment, spam, discriminatory content, or promotional material intended to manipulate ratings. My First Pets may remove reviews that violate these Terms or applicable guidelines. Businesses must not create fake reviews or improperly influence users to submit misleading reviews.

User-Submitted Content

Users and businesses may submit descriptions, images, reviews, logos, and other content. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to submit and use such content. By submitting content to My First Pets, you grant us permission to display, reproduce, format, and distribute that content on our website and related promotional channels for operating and promoting My First Pets. You must not submit content that infringes another person's intellectual property, privacy, or other legal rights.

Pet and Business Information Disclaimer

My First Pets is a directory and information platform. We do not provide veterinary, medical, legal, financial, or professional advice. Information about pet businesses and services is provided for informational and discovery purposes only. Users should independently evaluate a business, service, product, or professional before making a purchase or appointment. Any agreement, transaction, appointment, or service between a user and a listed business is between those parties. My First Pets is not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, availability, or outcome of services provided by listed businesses.

Prohibited Activities

You agree not to: Provide false or misleading information. Claim a business without authorization. Create fake reviews or manipulate ratings. Use the website for spam or fraudulent activities. Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts or systems. Copy or reproduce substantial portions of the website without permission. Use My First Pets to violate applicable laws or regulations. We may suspend or terminate accounts and remove listings that violate these Terms.

Business owners retain ownership of their trademarks, logos, photographs, and other content they submit, subject to the content license described in these Terms.

Changes and Termination

My First Pets may update these Terms & Conditions when necessary. We may also modify, suspend, or discontinue any website feature or service at any time. We may remove a business listing or suspend an account if we believe it violates these Terms, contains misleading information, or creates a risk to users or the integrity of the directory.

Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

My First Pets is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the website will always be available, error-free, secure, or completely accurate. To the extent permitted by applicable law, My First Pets will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from your use of the website, business listings, third-party services, or interactions with listed businesses.

Governing Law

These Terms will be governed by the laws applicable to the legal entity operating My First Pets, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The appropriate governing law and dispute-resolution provisions should be finalized based on the actual legal entity and place of registration of My First Pets.
